Saturday June 11th 2022 1.00pm - 6.00pm
It's almost time!
Please remember you will need cash for your entry wristband (pay at the first garden you visit only - they're available in all the gardens so it doesn't matter where you start). If you have the right money that would really help .. most of the stalls will accept cards, but not the gardens. Teas, cakes and plant stalls run by the garden hosts will almost all need to be paid in cash as well, so make sure you bring lots with you!!
If you are local you will know that some of the gardens are on fairly narrow and heavily-parked roads. For example for Warren Avenue and Langtry Grove you would be best to park on Haydn Road and make the short walk .. it will probably save you time and you will be showing consideration to the local residents. For people with mobility issues please check your brochure or the website for details of the free minibus kindly put on by Nottingham Community Transport.
Lastly, you may be asked to wear a mask and clean your hands at some gardens .. your kindness will be appreciated if the garden host is vulnerable to covid, which is still out there. Masks will be available where it is essential, due to narrow paths or small gardens.
We're really looking forward to seeing you!

23rd May 2022
Sherwood Open Gardens is now less than three weeks away! Lots of people are working hard behind the scenes to make sure the day goes as smoothly as possible, but please remember a couple of things before you come:
ENTRY IS CASH ONLY
Entrance is £3 per adult, which admits you to all the gardens. You can buy a wristband at any garden and at Sherwood Methodist Church, where you will also find toilets, children's play, plant sales and refreshments
We know some of you don't use cash and have maybe even forgotten your pin number .. many shops do cashback if this is you! Most stall holders will have card machines but not the people opening their gardens.
COVID
Although infection numbers are falling, some members of the public are still vulnerable. Not all the gardens are large .. if the garden host decides to stop entrance for a short while because of high numbers, please do be patient. Maybe visit another garden nearby, or just hold on a few minutes.
For up to date information don't forget you can follow us on facebook, twitter and instagram

A very warm welcome to Sherwood Open Gardens 2022. We will be leafleting the local area and garden centres across the region in the coming weeks, and very much hope to see you at some of our gardens. The two charities chosen and voted for by this year’s gardeners will be the well-deserved local charities Emmanuel House and Nottingham Refugee Forum.
We will be posting a list of stalls and artists soon.
If you would like to read about our event in 2019 (for which we won the Spirit of Sherwood Community Award)
